Cllr. A. Sleath

Ann and her family came to live in Houghton on the Hill in 1987. She has two sons who both attended the village school where Ann was on the PTA. Later on she became Chairman of Houghton Scout Group, a job she did for eleven years. She is still on the Scout Committee and prepares the hundred plus questions needed for the Annual Village Quiz. She was a District Councillor at Harborough District Council and has been a Parish Councillor since 2003. She feels that by working together improvements can be made and that the village is fortunate to have the many volunteers who work so hard to bring benefits to the Community.
Councillor Sleath is a Deputy Planning Representative and Deputy Representative on the Special Development Area - Consultation Group. She is also an appointed nominee on the Personnel Standing Committee and is the Parish Council's delegate for the Leicestershire and Rutland Association of Local Councils. Ann is a member of the Neighbourhood Plan Working Party and assists with the annual checking of Parish Council assets
