Houghton Neighbourhood Development Plan

This NDP is a thorough revision of that made in 2018. There are considerable changes from the previous plan. The most significant changes relate to the provision of Site Allocations, the revision of the Settlement Boundary, and the definition of an Area of Separation to the west of the village extending to the boundary of the parish. Policies on housing provision and environmental issues have also been extensively revised.

A Village Design Guide and Codes (VDG&C) is provided as a separate but companion document with extensive cross-references between the two. The VDG&C is a comprehensive extension of the previous (2018) Village Design Statement contained as an appendix to that NDP.
