Nature Reserves

Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust manages 32 nature reserves covering nearly 3,000 acres of valuable wildlife habitats although none is situated close to Houghton on the Hill. The nearest ones are situated at Tilton Railway Cutting off the Tilton to Oakham road about 2 km east of the village of Tilton and Launde Woods situated between Launde and Loddington. There is also a nature reserve at Lucus' Marsh which is part of Brock's Hill Country Park, Oadby.
