Covid-19 Emergency Measures

Following advice from Leicestershire and Rutland Association of Local Councils, the Parish Council adopted emergency measures at its meeting on 12 March 2020 to deal with conducting Parish Council business during the pandemic.

When a meeting which would otherwise have taken place (usually on the second Thursday of the month) is cancelled, the Clerk to the Parish Council will:-

  • Arrange for a 'pseudo' agenda to be pinned up on the notice boards as if it was an actual agenda. This will also be added to the Parish Council's website together with supporting papers and will provide members of the public with an opportunity to make comments as they would in the public participation session at a Parish Council meeting. Such comments should be sent to the Clerk to the Parish Council at the email address below. Parish Councillors will be made aware of the comments which need to be submitted by no later than the end of the day preceding the day upon which the Parish Council meeting would normally have taken place.

  • Assimilate Parish Councillors' views to form a resolution. This information will be distributed in the same way as minutes from normal Parish Council meetings.
