The 6-week formal Public Consultation

2nd November to 16th December 2024 (5.00pm)

To remain effective a Neighbourhood Development Plan needs to be reviewed every 5 years or so in order that local, district and government changes over that time can be addressed.

Following neighbourhood planning guidelines and using your opinions and comments from the community questionnaires, the Neighbourhood Plan Working Party has produced a draft of a revised Neighbourhood Development Plan, together with a Design Guide for developers to follow. These are not finished documents but drafts for you to read and comment on.

• Have important things been omitted?
• Are there sections which are not clear?
• Are there items you think may be wrong?
• You are also encouraged to say what you like about the plan!

The Village Design Statement contained within the current plan, is now presented as a more comprehensive companion document – the "Village Design Guide and Codes" - to be consulted, in conjunction with the updated plan, when preparing planning applications, or seeking to make changes to existing buildings.

Some policies in the current plan have been retained, but many are new to better reflect current situations. Appendix 3 of the revised draft plan provides an overview of the main objectives set out in the new plan and compares policies with those in the 2018 plan.
